SB Paint & Quarter Horses is located in Mullica Hill, NJ, known for it’s antique shopping and easy access to Philadelphia, the New Jersey Shore and the beautiful Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. A one person operation, with a small breeding program, SB Paint & Quarter Horses developed in a very short period of time to have produced several APHA World & Reserve World Champions, World & Reserve Champions in PtHA, APHA Congress winner, APHA Honor Roll Champions, APHA Life Time Point Earners and APHA Top 5 World Show Winners. And now several AQHA Futurity winners are added to the list.
"SB Flashy Zipper" the inspiration for this program, is a 1994, TRUE 16. hand palomino crop-out overo stallion by Seven S Flashyzipper by Flashy Zipper by Zippo Pine Bar and out of My Genuine Bobbie.
“SB’s” many accomplishments include finishing 8th in a very large 2 Year Old Western Pleasure class at the APHA World Show and finishing first under all judges in a very tough Horsemanship class at the PtHA National Show (prior to being name World Show) and Reserve World Champion in Amateur Western Pleasure & Showmanship.
Purchased as a weanling in November 1994, from Lana & David Bruce - IN, who originally named "SB", Flashy Gordon. After visiting AQHA's Stallion Alley at the All American Quarter Horse Congress with my dear friend Sergio Bello, it was certain that after seeing his sire, Seven S Flashyzipper, he was sure to be the individual to build our program around. Mike and Sandy Walker have been a true supporter of "SBs" career and without them, I would not had the honor of owning SB FLASHY ZIPPER. Unfortunately Sergio never had the opportunity to see his namesake "SB" due to his passing in early November 2004. So for the beginning of the name "SB" Paint Horses and the inclusion of "SB" in the name of all foals raised at my farm.
At the end of 1995 I approached Marty Dixon from Clayton, Delaware, to work with "SB" to bring out the talent he is. Marty successfully guided SB Flashy Zipper throughout his entire show career and will always be considered to be "SBs" partner in his greatness.
In 1999 "SB" was retired to the breeding shed though these have been many a day I've wanted to get him out again just for the shear enjoyment of riding and showing such a wonderful, beautiful creature.
From the very first foal (SB Zippnloot) until today, we have been blessed with wonderful talented individuals, many of whom you will see in the WINNERS section of this site.
